There are more options for a swimsuit for female lifeguards than just the one we associate with the position. It can actually be quite a detailed process to choose one. Valuable tips for choosing the right <A href="http://www.
Generally, when we think about female lifeguards we tend to think of them in traditional one piece suits. If the one piece swimsuit is what you want, you have several choices. You can choose thick or thin straps. The back can be traditional, racerback, or keyhole styles. For lifeguards, the swimsuit should be comfortable enough to be in it for an extended period of time, wet or dry. It should also allow the proper amount of movement without causing raw spots. You can choose different colors, but red and navy blue are the most common two that are chosen.
Two piece suits are another option. These are available as tankinis or bikinis. The lifeguarding styles are designed with constant action in mind. They have added stretching abilities for comfort yet fit snugly. Female lifeguards tend to choose styles that have lower or triangle necklines to increase comfort on hot summer days. Tankinis provide similar coverage to a one piece, but the freedoms a bikini allots.
The reversible swimsuit presents you with more choices. These suits have two layers. One layer is the main color you choose with the identification lettering, which is commonly red colored. A second layer on the inside is a different color and can be reversed to be on the outside. This common choice is available for both one and two piece suits. It allows a woman guard to have the swimsuit she needs for her duties and a second suit for use off-duty, all without having to buy two separate suits.
You can also choose shorts as part of your lifeguarding uniform. Surf shorts, or board shorts, are lightweight and designed to be worn with a swimsuit. More functional styles can also be chosen and include extra features such as multiple pockets. These styles are also worn with a swimsuit but they tend to be made of thicker fabric.
Once you have determined the style you desire, you will need to select the size. It is important to make sure the swimsuit fits properly. To do this, you will need the measurements of your torso, hips, waist, and bust sections. Use these measurements to find your size in the manufacturer's sizing chart. If your measurements fall between two on the chart, choose the higher one.
Durability will also be important. The fabric that the suit is made from should be suitable for the type of lifeguarding you do. Differences in water will require fabrics that will last awhile being used in those conditions. Ocean water and pool water, for example, are different. One is high in salt and sand while the other is full of chemicals such as chlorine.
Although there are many factors that are important in the swimsuit you choose, you should make sure that it is something allowed by your employer. Possible employer restrictions are equally important and you must consider any dress code that is required. You choices may be limited for the styles that you can choose.
